Papier d'Arménie Incense
Papier d'Arménie
$ 20.00
Papier d’Arménie was born in Paris in 1885 as a result of the experiments of a chemist and a scientist. Whilst on a trip to Armenia, Auguste Ponsot discovered benzoin resin's disinfecting qualities and subsequently decided to introduce them to France. Renowned since ancient times for its antiseptic, healing and expectorant properties, benzoin balm has been traditionally applied externally to treat asthma, coughs and hoarseness. Papier d'Arménie owes its unique pleasant fragrance to benzoin resin. Without it, Papier d'Arménie would never have become what it is. Enjoy this old world paper incense in three different scents:
Traditional - Vanilla and balsamic notes evocative of the Far East
Arménie - Incense and myrrh with woody and vanilla notes
La Rose - Roses from Iran and Turkey, fruity as petal jam with a mellow touch
